The CIL has 6 basic requirements; they can be met in different ways.

  • Once enrolled, students should periodically update their CIL advisor on their progress. As each program component is completed, students are expected to provide documentation that proves completion here
  • Students are encouraged to apply for the Certificate during their first 2 years of study.

CIL orientation gives students the opportunity to clarify program requirements, meet other CIL students, and explore and practice intercultural communication concepts.

All CIL students must complete a CIL orientation regardless of how far along they are in the program.

Orientation sessions are typically held every fall and winter term. We recommend completing this orientation as early as possible following registration. Registered CIL students will be invited by email.
